Today, we’re thrilled to showcase the work of Deyasa Ragnel, a.k.a. 346 Studio. Deyasa is a talented designer from Bali, Indonesia.

Deyasa’s Vecteezy portfolio includes hundreds of amazing vectors that can be downloaded by Pro subscribers, and here you’ll find a small selection of some of the vectors that we’d like to highlight. If you see an image that you’d like to use, click on the image and you’ll be led to the download page.

We had a chance to sit down and chat with Deyasa about his background, and his approach to design.

Vecteezy: How and when did you get started with design?

Deyasa: Drawing has been my hobby since I was a child, and I started digital drawing in 2010. I began working as a graphic designer at a retail company in Bali in 2011 while also taking illustration artwork orders. In 2015, I decided to become a full-time freelance illustrator, which I have been doing ever since.

Vecteezy: Do you have any formal training or are you self-taught?

Deyasa: I have no formal training in digital drawing. I learned by myself from books and tutorials on YouTube. I slowly found ways to develop my own style of artwork by exploring and trying new things.

Holidays

Deyasa’s portfolio includes a huge selection of Halloween, zombie, and skull vectors. If you’re looking for a scary resource to include in your own design, be sure to check these out.

Aside from Halloween, Deyasa also offers vectors focused on other holidays, especially Christmas. There are many vectors that portray Santa Claus in different ways.

Vecteezy: How would you describe your style?

Deyasa: My artwork uses clear lines and shading details that are not too dense in order to produce neat lines. I choose soft colors and unique coloring gradations. My artwork can be enjoyed by all ages and covers all genres, so anyone can enjoy it.

Vecteezy: What tools do you use in your work?

Deyasa: The software that I use is Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and CorelDRAW. The hardware I use is the Wacom CTL 4100 pen tablet and a Huion KAMVAS 16 HD.

Vecteezy: Can you share your creative process with us?

Deyasa: I use more or less the same process used by other illustrators. I usually make a rough sketch first. I often carry a sketchbook with me wherever I go. When ideas and inspiration come, I immediately make a rough sketch. I usually draw for assets on microstock marketplaces in the morning and then work on custom orders from clients at night, although sometimes the time is reversed. I don’t have a team yet, I’m still working on everything myself. I have to manage my time so I can handle the microstock and custom orders from clients properly.

Animals

While there are a lot of animal vectors here at Vecteezy, Deyasa’s stand out from many of the others because of the style of design. Most of Deyasa’s images are intense, and even the unicorns have an edginess to them.

Vecteezy: Where do you find your inspiration?

Deyasa: Inspiration for my ideas and concepts is often present at night in my workspace, as if the inspiration is flowing. Although sometimes it can appear anytime and anywhere, it often comes after watching a movie.

Vecteezy: What is the best advice you’ve ever received from another designer?

Deyasa: The best advice I’ve received is to not be ashamed and discouraged when someone bullies your work and profession as a freelance illustrator because if we focus, we will definitely achieve our dreams. Never forget the people who have shared their knowledge with you, and never forget to thank those who helped you. People who forget to thank others who have helped will never be successful.

Americana

Although Deyasa is from Indonesia, he has several American-themed designs in his portfolio. This is a great example of a contributor who is creating resources based on trends and the interests of users.
