The global pandemic has sparked heightened awareness of personal financial health and economic resilience, across all generations. Gen-Z and Millenials, in particular, have become more active in their financial futures and these younger generations, historically less engaged or disinterested in financial information, now have a lot of questions about the future of their careers, how they will make money, and how they should manage the money they have now.

As the generations that grew up on the internet, naturally, Gen-Z and Millenials are turning to social media and their favorite online platforms to find financial information and educate themselves on related topics and issues. This has led to a new crop of online financial influencers – also known as ‘fin-fluencers’ – who share banking, tax, and financial knowledge to hundreds of thousands of followers through their YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok feeds.

As these themes are amplified online, general financial visuals depicting banking, stock market, investment, financial planning, and so on, will require a significant refresh. Regardless of the content type you submit – vectors, photos, or videos – we need to see financial visuals that convey or illustrate themes like income growth, stock market, market growth, stability, decline, and financial market concepts like stock, investing, bull and bear markets.

Keywords:
financial, market, change, growth, bull market, bear market, currency, financial stability, financial decline, fintech, fin-fluencer (a financial influencer), budgeting, financial planning, investing, investment, purchasing stock

Avoid:

  • basic bar charts and visualizations with green and red arrows
  • brand names, company details, personal descriptive details such as full names
  • physical currency like coins, paper money, and crypto-currency coins
  • credit cards, unless the card is obviously a prop

Below is the specific content we’re seeking for April.

Customer searches for financial themes have spiked in the past year as a broader range of consumers become more engaged with their financial future, including those consumers who normally ignore their finances. The demand for vector art depicting money management and banking rose with it as customers look to use conceptual vector art to pitch and advertise to consumers. Some of the themes we are looking to add to our vector collection include images of market analysis, stock trading, financial advising, banking, and personal savings apps mock-ups. Don’t forget to follow current design trends such as organic shapes, simple data visualizations, and flat illustration style to make your images stand out from the crowd.

From personal finances to the global economy, we have to think about money every day. And there’s no getting around it, nearly every part of life is intertwined with the internet, including our finances–from banking and budgeting apps to playing the stock market on your phone or consulting an advisor via a video meeting on your laptop. There is an ongoing need to visually represent financial themes for marketing, news, and social media uses. Modern conceptual images with distinctive use of color and lighting will set your photographs apart. Knowing current trends in styling and design can make or break your images. Try finding new ways to add a human element to finance themes or focus on original, specific, high-concept imagery.

So-called “fin-fluencers” (a.k.a. financially savvy influencers) have started a movement called FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) to make budgeting cool and desirable for millennials and gen Z. We are actively seeking footage surrounding those concepts. Some keywords would be: currencies, budget, markets, fluctuation, growth/decline, shares, stability, savings, and investing. The clip above is a great example of what we’re looking for. It portrays colleagues discussing investing and showing each other information in an authentic way. Some other examples are stock traders working from their home office, or clips featuring models at laptops with printouts displaying modern and realistic financial graphs or charts. Templates and backgrounds that show investing, savings, budgeting, and growth of finances are also highly sought after.
